My name is Ronda Walker, and I am the Director of Countryside Christian Preschool, also known as one of the best and largest preschools in Pinellas County! I am so happy you took the time out of your busy day to check us out. Here is a quick time line on the preschool and how we have grown...
2000- Countryside Christian Preschool Opened accepting 3 & 4 year olds.
2009- Countryside Christian Church opened a new building and the preschool began accepting 2 year olds, as well as starting to admit VPK (volunteer Pre-Kindergarten) students.
2011- We begin accepting wonderful one year olds.
2016 Incredible infants are next! Starting at just 8 weeks old!
2017 Let the Adventure begin! Now licensed for before and after care elementary age students (Adventure Club). Accepting students that attend public school, and providing transportation for before and after school.
The Preschool is licensed for 231 students from 8 weeks old to elementary age. God has truly blessed our once little preschool.Now here is a little bit about me…I am married to my best friend and have 2 children, who are both married. My favorite thing to do is spend time with all of them. I don’t care if it is simply sitting on the back porch or taking fun vacations, as long as I am with my family that is my happy place.
The reason I do what I do…My Mom was the biggest influence in my life. She taught preschool for over 40 years. Because of her love of children and passion to teach them about Jesus, I followed in her footsteps. I taught preschool for 10 years and have been a director for over 25 years. I have the best of both worlds. I am able to manage the preschool and play with the children.
If I am not in my office more than likely you will find me playing with the children or giving out cookies to the one year olds. Mom passed away in October of 2012, she never retired she said that God would call her home when He wanted her to stop working. I hope and pray that I can carry on her dreams of leading children to know Jesus!
